Green Door Distilling was founded in 2014 and was the first distillery to open in Kalamazoo since 1858. We are an inclusive group of individuals with a variety of backgrounds who have come together to share in our ongoing adventure of refining the craft spirit industry.Our award-winning products are the result of distillers, mixologists, passionate spirit connoisseurs, newcomers and patrons alike sharing ideas and working together to propel ourselves forward in this elusive industry.

About The Role

Green Door Distilling is looking for a dedicated, hardworking team player to join our front of house team. We are looking for someone who is excited about working in a high-volume environment, can create a unique guest experience, and has a passion for spirits/distilling.

Mixologist/Bartender Responsibilities:

Mix cocktails and other bar beverages as ordered.

Greet guests, take beverage orders directly from guests and from other service staff.

Check identification of guests to verify age requirements for purchase of alcohol

Use a POS system to manage transitions (Toast).

Serve snacks and food items to guests seated at the bar as needed.

Demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of spirits, cocktails, and answer questions or educate guests on the Green Door process and mission.

Maintain a clean bar working area.

Maintain established sanitation standards, personal hygiene, and health standards.

Qualifications:

Ideal candidates will have:

A minimum of 1 year of prior bartending experience.

Experience with craft cocktails and spirits.

Open evening availability (especially weekends)

Great communication skills.

Job Type: Part-Time

Pay: From $15.00 per hour
